QP-Services was started in 2000 by Antony Wakeford and Lorraine Bedford. The initial focus was QP Batch Release, Certification and GMP compliance. Lorraine and Antony still own the company. QP-Services UK Ltd is a private limited company with an office based near Bristol in England.

By 2007 we employed 6 people, having expanded the technical capability to include all aspects of pharmaceutical consultancy work including Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance.

In 2008 we were granted our first manufacturing licence by the MHRA – MIA 29498 – enabling us to import Human Medicinal Products into the UK. We now hold four different types of manufacturing licences (MIA, ManA, MIA(IMP) & MS) which is rare for a single company.

Continuity and stability is important to our business. Since 2008 we have consistently employed 9 or more people. Our small but highly trained team are all based in Somerset and more than half the employees have been with us for over 10 years. We are committed to training and professional development alongside individual well-being and work-life balance. We have sponsored two Level 7 Apprentices and two Gold Standard RPs.

We use a trusted team of specialist collaborators as needed for specific projects and clients.

We work with clients from all over the world, and organizations of all shapes and sizes. Each client receives a bespoke service tailored to their needs as no two situations are the same.

We have capacity for approximately 20 clients at any one time. Over half our clients have been working with us for at least 10 years. We only seek long term clients with a commitment to compliance and collaboration.
